Rita Gühring, MA

Psychologist for Children & Adolescents

Accepting new clients for April

Rita is a dedicated psychologist and SpLD specialist originally from Hungary. She has a deep passion for helping children and adolescents who are facing challenges. With years of international experience and a compassionate heart, she approaches each child with empathy and understanding, creating a safe space for them to open up and express themselves. Rita uses a holistic approach to support children in navigating their struggles, building their resilience, and fostering their emotional well-being. Through her expertise and commitment, she works tirelessly to empower children to overcome obstacles and thrive in their lives.

Rita utilizes a combination of play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and art therapy elements in her work with children. Play therapy allows children to express themselves in a natural and comfortable way, while CBT techniques help them understand and manage their thoughts and emotions. Incorporating art therapy elements provides another creative outlet for children to communicate and process their feelings. By combining these approaches, Rita creates a supportive environment where children can explore, heal, and grow.

Rita specializes in the assessment and treatment of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), like ADHD and dyslexia. The treatment of SpLD is based on two main strategies: specific assistance with the impaired learning areas (reading, spelling, attention deficit, working memory) and therapy for any coexisting psychological disturbance that may be present.

Rita has been living in Germany since 2023 with her husband and three children.
